We welcome well behaved dogs - see our dogs welcome page for more details.
Why not see what our guests say about Acorn Cottage and check availability and prices and other important information using the tabs on the left.
The private garden is ideal for children and dogs or just for chilling with a glass of wine and a good book.  The garden is enclosed by stone walls and fences, but we cannot guarantee it is escape proof!

Visiting friends and family in the area? Why not invite them over to Acorn Cottage for the day or evening?  Just let us know and we can provide extra dining chairs and a reduced room only rate on our family B&B room if they fancy staying the night.  Please contact us for details and availability.

Breakfast packs of our own sausages, bacon and eggs are available for you to cook in the Cottage, or we offer a full luxury breakfast in our conservatory, subject to availability.  Just ask when booking or during the stay.
If you don't fancy cooking during your stay at Acorn Cottage, the Kelstedge Inn is a 10 minute walk away and there are 3 pubs in Ashover, just over a mile from the Cottage. We're happy to make a reservation for you. Further afield you'll find many different eateries in Matlock and Chesterfield including Italian, Chinese, Curry and a Steak House. If you're looking for something a bit special, Piedaniel in Bakewell is a lovely small French restaurant but you need to book well in advance. We can also offer seasonal home grown produce (sausages, bacon, eggs, gammon, lamb, honey, preserves, vegetables, whatever is available).

Getting here is easy as we're about 1/2 mile from the A632 at Kelstedge, 1 mile from Ashover and not far from the M1 and A38. Coming by train?  We can help with transfers from Chesterfield or Matlock stations.

Acorn Cottage is no smoking – this includes all parts of the cottage and on the smallholding, but guests are welcome to smoke in the private garden.
